Do they have to be screwed into studs?

No. We recommend hitting at least one stud when you can, but drywall anchors are included for spots where you can't.

How long are the supplied wood screws? (Not the drywall screws)

The provided wood screws are 1-1/4".

What does it hold?

The Mini isn't made for skis or snowboards or larger gear, that's the OG's job. It's built for smaller gear like fishing poles, hiking poles, paddles, skateboards, brooms, mops, rakes, shovels, and garden tools, up to 30 lbs.
